Ahead of Father's Day, Apple is offering free shipping for all products in its Apple Online Store through May 29.
Though Apple usually offers free shipping on orders priced at $50 and above, the limited-time change means customers can enjoy free shipping for products which don't reach that price point. In particular, iOS device cases and accessories – in other words, the perfect gift for your iPad-owning dad – will now be shipped to customers at no extra cost.
You'll need to act fast though, because as mentioned, the offer is only going to be available up until May 29.
The change comes as one of several recent improvements to the Apple Online Store. As we explained earlier this month, Cupertino recently cut the time it takes to process refunds through the online store in half, in a development described at the time as “a small but crucial step to try to get more people to buy direct from its website.”
Of course, the move also comes as Apple's new senior vice president of Retail Angela Ahrendts is settling into her new role at Cupertino.
Thinking of making a Father's Day purchase, or are you planning on treating yourself to a new iOS accessory? Either way, if you're shopping in the Apple Online Store be sure to make your purchase before May 29 in order to qualify for free shipping.
