Fun turn-based combat game Star Wars: Assault Team has just received its first major update.
Easily the biggest change in version 1.2.0 is the new ally system. Players can now recruit wanderers throughout the galaxy on missions and team up to overpower enemies.
Gamers should also enjoy the redesigned special missions screen that makes it easier to find all of the missions and events needed to earn items and resources.
Along with new animations scattered throughout the game, developer LucasArts implemented changes to enhance the variety of strategies that gamers can use while playing.
A universal app designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini, Star Wars: Assault Team can be downloaded now on the App Store for free. There are a number of in-app purchases available.
To celebrate Sunday, May 4 (also known as Star Wars Day), a pack of gems can now be purchased inside the game for 50 percent off. That offer is good until Thursday, May 8.
Originally landing back in March, gamers are tasked with building card decks featuring characters from the hugely popular franchise. You'll take your team into battle against galactic enemies of all types.
