How Would A Bigger, 4.7-Inch iPhone 6 Compare Against Samsung's Galaxy S5?

May 3, 2014

Physical mockups of the iPhone 6 have appeared in abundance over the past couple of weeks, and now one of the most recent iPhone 6 mockups has been compared alongside Samsung’s Galaxy S5 handset.

Originally published by Macitynet (via BGR), the side-by-side comparison definitely makes for interesting viewing. The iPhone 6 mockup shown appears to have a display size of 4.7-inches (rather than the larger 5.5-inches we’ve also heard rumored), and as such it features a form factor that’s similar to but smaller than that of the Galaxy S5.

The iPhone 6 mockup is also markedly thinner than the iPhone 5s and Galaxy S5, and it features rounded edges not dissimilar to the current-generation iPod touch.

Besides its long anticipated bigger, thinner redesign, Apple’s next-generation handset is also expected to feature a sapphire coated display and under-the-hood performance improvements. The iPhone 6 should be announced by Apple at a dedicated event later this year, in either September or October.

As usual, we’ll keep you updated with further information on the handset.
