Costco Is Now Offering Discounted iPhones, iPads Both In-Store And Online
It’s been some time since Costco stopped selling Apple’s iOS devices, however the U.S. retailer is now once again offering iPhones and iPads both in-store and at its online store, membershipwireless.com.
More than a mere “return to Costco,” the move also sees iPhones and iPads – including the current-generation models – receive impressive discounts on their usual pricing.
Three Guys and a Podcast (via AppleInsider) explains that Apple’s iPhone 5s can be purchased for $78 (as opposed to the usual subsidized price of $199), while iPad Air and iPad mini models are retailing at $100 off their usual prices.
The iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c can be purchased on-contract from AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile, though only the 16GB variant is available and for a T-Mobile handset, customers will need to visit one of Costco’s brick-and-mortar stores. AppleInsider highlights that this model will come with a $25 Costco Cash card “in lieu of cash discounts.”
On the iPad side, Costco’s offerings are limited to Verizon and T-Mobile models, and once again 16GB versions are all the retailer has to offer.
Though both Apple’s iPhone and iPad lines are expected to receive a refresh later this year, customers in the market for a new product now should nevertheless swing by their local Costco.
