Apple's iOS 8 might refrain from making radical changes to the iOS Lock screen, but one new jailbreak tweak from the folks at A Pint of Milk isn't holding back. Called LockScreen Invert, the package puts an interesting spin on the Lock screen user interface (UI), and it's available to download now.
Priced at $1.49, LockScreen Invert can be found on the Cydia Store's MacCiti repository (a default repository). Once downloaded and installed, the package splits the iOS Lock screen in half and uses this interface to provide information on iOS notifications, the weather, and even your iOS device's battery life.
On the left side of this divide LockScreen Invert provides weather information, including temperature and the current conditions. An upcoming update promises five-day weather forecast support, but as of this writing LockScreen Invert is limited to highlighting "Today's Highs," "Today's Forecast," and "Today's Lows."
On the right side of LockScreen Invert is a dedicated space for iOS notifications. The current time and date is shown here, too, alongside notifications (in the top-right) for the Messages app, the Mail app, WhatsApp Messenger, Snapchat, Facebook, Twitter, and Tweetbot.
In the bottom-right of LockScreen Invert are notifications for the Phone app, Skype, and Bria. Usefully, however, the central divide between these two sides features a red-colored bar that also serves as a battery life indicator. As such, LockScreen Invert can provide jailbreakers with a lot of at-a-glance information on their iOS device.
If you're looking for a way to spice up your Lock screen, take a look at LockScreen Invert. As mentioned, you can find it on the Cydia Store for $1.49 and it's optimized for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
