Get Into Hyper-Speed To Get High Scores In Sega's Upcoming Sonic Jump Fever

June 10, 2014
Can't get enough of playing Sonic games on your iOS devices? Then you'll be glad to learn that Sega has just announced the forthcoming release of a new Sonic game called Sonic Jump Fever. As its name suggests, Sonic Jump Fever is a follow-up to Sonic Jump, the popular vertical-scrolling platformer game first released for feature phones in 2005 and adapted for smartphones in 2012. Sonic Jump Fever challenges you to make the speedy title character and his pals jump to great heights in a race against the clock and blast your friends' scores in the leaderboards. If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. Sega has this to say about Sonic Jump Fever's gameplay:
In Sonic Jump Fever, players compete for high scores in fast vertical-jumping challenges. Playing as Sonic, Knuckles, and a host of classic characters, friends blast each others’ scores by quickly deploying boosters, upgrades, and unique character abilities to pull off huge combos. Earn points quickly and unleash Fever Mode which puts the player into hyper-speed for Earth-shattering scores.
Sonic Jump Fever is developed by Hardlight, the same studio behind Sonic Jump and the similarly popular endless runner Sonic Dash. Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 7.0 or later, Sonic Jump Fever is set to be launched as a free-to-play title in the App Store later this summer. Aside from Sonic Jump Fever, also coming later this summer from Sega is a new game set in the popular Super Monkey Ball universe called Super Monkey Ball Bounce. [gallery]
