Ready To Bounce? SEGA's Super Monkey Ball Bounce Is Coming 'Later This Summer'
SEGA is set to bring a new application -- Super Monkey Ball Bounce -- to the App Store “later this summer,” offering iOS device owners a fun, addictive game set in the popular “Super Monkey Ball” universe.
Though little is known concerning the app, a trailer for the game surfaced online yesterday and in the YouTube video’s description, the folks behind Super Monkey Ball Bounce explain:
Super Monkey Ball is coming to mobile with an ALL-NEW way to play in Super Monkey Ball Bounce! Join AiAi on his epic adventure, rescuing playable monkey friends as you bounce, slide and rebound your way through jungles, volcanoes and glaciers.
The news first reached us from TouchArcade, which also cites SEGA as adding: “Taking inspiration from the classic arcade game, pachinko, Super Monkey Ball Bounce features AiAi and the rest of his monkey friends as they attempt to thwart the evil machinations of the dastardly Prof. Boscis.” As the publication notes, Super Monkey Ball Bounce indeed sounds “a lot like Peggle with Super Monkey Ball characters.”

Super Monkey Ball Bounce has already soft-launched in Canada, and as such folks living in the country can take the new game for a spin now.
For the rest of us, however, Super Monkey Ball Bounce is expected to launch internationally “later this summer,” according to SEGA. We’ll let you know once the game makes an appearance in App Stores around the world.
In the meantime, fans of the genre can take Peggle for a spin: the application is available for just $0.99, and it’s optimized for the iPhone and iPod touch. SEGA’s Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed can also be downloaded free of charge as of its most recent update.
