Snapchat To Introduce 'Our Story' At The Electric Daisy Carnival In Las Vegas

June 17, 2014
Back in November, Snapchat introduced a new feature called My Story. It allows users to send and receive a series of photos and videos, or “Snaps,” which are accessible for up to 24 hours. Snapchat is now introducing Our Story, which allows users at the same location to contribute Snaps to the same story. The feature is available for the first time this weekend at Insomniac's Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) in Las Vegas, Nevada. For those attending EDC, simply add a Snap to the “Our EDC Story” link that will appear in Snapchat on the “Send to …” page. You’ll need to turn on location services on your mobile device to take part, although Snapchat promises it won’t be storing user location. To help promote Our Story, Snapchat is offering free Wi-Fi at the event. Here’s a quick look at Our Story: http://youtu.be/pZeDPfHiBC8 Earlier today, Facebook unveiled Slingshot, which looks a lot like Snapchat. With the free app, users can “sling” shots (photos or videos) back and forth. The free Snapchat app is available to download on the App Store.
