June 15, 2014
The Sandbox, the AppAdvice Game of the Week award-winning sandbox game developed by Pixowl, has just received another update that introduces a new campaign. The new campaign is dubbed "Country Life." It comprises 15 levels and introduces new elements and human behaviors. Here are the new elements:
  • The Tractor to help the farmer to harvest quicker
  • The Chicken, the Chicks and the Egg will be raised and converted to food or hunted by the fox
  • The Fox the worst enemy of the chickens!
  • The Crow will fly around and eat the crops
  • The Scarecrow will drive away the crows
  • The E-drain to build advanced irrigation system drove by electricity
If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. As for the new human behaviors, there's the Hunter, who's able to shoot animals and place traps, and there's the Farmer, who's tasked to raise chickens and convert them to food. Also, after collecting a certain amount of specific resources, you can create special buildings with which your humans can interact using emoticons. The Sandbox's Country Life update also brings a couple of new blueprints: the Bullseye for would-be archers and the Chicken Pen for future-meat raisers. Furthermore, the update comes with new farm life-related backgrounds, new music for most campaigns, UI optimizations, and bug fixes. Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 5.0 or later, The Sandbox is available on the App Store for free. [gallery]
