Tilt To Live: Gauntlet's Revenge Coming Later This Year From One Man Left

June 12, 2014
One Man Left has just announced the next title in its hit Tilt to Live series of avoidance games. The new game is called Tilt to Live: Gauntlet's Revenge. As it turns out, Tilt to Live: Gauntlet's Revenge is a spin-off based on the Gauntlet mode in the original Tilt to Live and Tilt to Live HD. In Gauntlet mode, players have to navigate a series of deadly traps rather than going from weapon to weapon, as in the normal Tilt to Live mode. Tilt to Live: Gauntlet's Revenge was supposed to be just an additional mode to Tilt to Live 2: Redonkulous. But while developing it, One Man Left stumbled upon some interesting questions:
Once a few enemies and track pieces were in the prototype, all sorts of interesting thoughts came up. What if you could reach some kind of bonus room if you survived long enough? I have a lot of leftover obstacle ideas; what if we did a few different Gauntlets? Can we evolve Tilt to Live's abstract art style into something more interesting?
While answering these questions, One Man Left apparently came to the realization that Tilt to Live: Gauntlet's Revenge would be much better as a standalone game than an additional mode. And that standalone game is coming to iOS later this year. Of course, we'll let you know as soon as it becomes available in the App Store. In the meantime, you can brush up on your tilting-to-live skills with Tilt to Live, Tilt to Live HD, and Tilt to Live 2: Redonkulous.
