We first heard about it in September last year. We then saw a "combat trailer" for it last March. Now, it's finally here.
I'm referring to Godfire, the highly anticipated new game from Real Boxing and BMX Jam developer Vivid Games.
Subtitled Rise of Prometheus, Godfire is a "titanic" action-adventure game set in the time of gods and mythical creatures:
A battle stirs the heavens as titan Prometheus attempts to steal the Godfire Spark – an object of unlimited power, forged in the heavens and jealously guarded by the gods. Godfire features a dynamic combat system that challenges you, as Prometheus, to take down enemies across seven different locations using the game's touch control scheme or an iOS 7 game controller. It also offers upgrades and weapons with which to customize Prometheus. Perhaps most notably, Godfire boasts stunning visuals. These high-quality graphics are achieved by Vivid Games with the Unreal Engine and in collaboration with Platige Image, the studio behind the Oscar-nominated animated short film "The Cathedral."
