Yahoo Revamps Flickr For Apple TV With New And Improved Features

June 25, 2014
Yahoo has just unveiled a redesigned Apple TV app for its popular photo-sharing service, Flickr, making it easier and more enjoyable to share beautiful images with others using the biggest screen in the room. In a new blog post, Yahoo details what's new in the updated Flickr app for Apple TV. According to the Internet giant, the revamped app makes it possible, for the first time with Apple TV, for users to sign in to Flickr and view all of their Flickr content. With the app, you can now also make any album into a slideshow or screensaver, with more than 15 slideshow and screensaver modes to customize it. Flickr for Apple TV also features an Explore section that lets you explore the most interesting photos from the Flickr community:
Share your photos and discover others’ through a dedicated “Explore” section highlighting our top trending photos, weekly photographer spotlights, daily curated galleries and videos, and public photo archives. See photos that you like? Fave them to automatically add to your Favorites. Find someone interesting? Visit their profile to see more or follow them.
The updated Apple TV app also includes search features for finding photos, people, and groups on the Flickr network. The revamped Flickr client for Apple TV was released along with several new channels for the set-top box: ABC News, AOL On, PBS Kids, and Willow. Flickr for iOS is also available on the App Store for free. It was updated a couple of weeks ago with improvements for album sharing, groups, and more.
