Apple alerts customers where they can buy a Mac tax-free
July 30, 2014
Apple is emailing customers in nine states to let them know they will soon be able to buy Macs and/or accessories tax-free. States offering tax holidays in the coming days include: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Missouri, New Mexico, South Carolina, and Tennessee. Massachusetts is also expected to offer a tax holiday pending legislative approval.
According to a link on the Apple website, upcoming tax-free holidays are as follows:
Each state has its own set of requirements and exemptions. Limits also vary by state. Of the states listed, Missouri offers the best deal. Its tax holiday is on computers and related accessories priced at $3,500 or less. These are terrific deals especially when coupled with Apple's annual back to school sale. If you live in any of these states (or live close to them), be sure to visit an Apple retailer during the dates listed above. For more information, be sure to visit Apple's website.
