Zeega's GoPop goes 2.0 with new design centered on visual conversations

July 11, 2014

GoPop, the iOS app developed by the interactive video-sharing startup Zeega, has been updated to version 2.0.

Launched about five months ago as #Pop, GoPop is a social networking app focused on sending and riffing on combinations of photos, videos, and GIFs called “Pops.”

A Pop is made up of two images. Just press and hold on the Pop to toggle between the two images, thereby making the Pop, well, pop.

With its 2.0 update, GoPop has been given a design overhaul, most notably featuring a new bottom navigation bar that lets you jump between Feed, Explore, Activity, and Profile in a jiffy. The app's new design also features smooth scrolling that lets Pops seamlessly slide into view one after another.

“The new GoPop is perfect for all forms of visual conversation,” Zeega notes, “replying and following conversations is now the center of the experience.”

In GoPop 2.0, you can just swipe to the right to view the entirety of the corresponding conversation thread. And after viewing a conversation, just swipe down to continue exploring the main feed. The updated app also boasts a smarter feed that highlights the best conversations and presents replies in their proper context.

Optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 7.0 or later, GoPop 2.0 is available now on the App Store for free.
