Apple adds Lenny Kravitz, The Script and more to iTunes Festival London 2014 lineup

August 19, 2014

Apple has just announced that it has added Lenny Kravitz, The Script, and 19 other performing acts to its lineup for iTunes Festival London 2014.

As first noted by The Loop, the company has updated its list of artists who will be performing at the iTunes-sponsored concert series at the Roundhouse in London throughout September. As a result, the list now includes the famous American rock singer-songwriter and the popular Irish pop rock band, among other new additions.

Kravitz is scheduled to perform on Sept. 26, just three days after the release of his latest album, “Strut.” “I’m really excited about my new album, Strut, and playing the festival this year, as well as working with iTunes!” Kravitz said. “Looking forward to seeing everybody at the show next month!”

As for The Script, the band is set to headline the festival’s show on Sept. 15, three days after the debut of its new studio album, “No Sound Without Silence.”

Kravitz, The Script, and the other newly added performers join Maroon 5, Pharrell Williams, Beck, Sam Smith, Blondie, Kylie, David Guetta, and Calvin Harris, who were among the initial group of artists mentioned by Apple when it announced the upcoming festival last month.

Last year, the festival was headlined by Lady Gaga on its first night and by John Legend, Justin Timberlake, and Katy Perry on its final three nights.

Tickets to the concert series are free for winners of competitions run by Apple and its local media partners. All of the festival’s 30 shows are going to be streamed on Mac, PC and iOS devices and on Apple TV via iTunes and the official iTunes Festival app.

Apple first held the iTunes Festival in London in 2007. The concert series made its debut across the pond in the U.S. just last March at SXSW in Austin, Texas.
