Beats celebrates its official entry into the Apple family with new ad featuring Siri
Earlier today, Apple officially added Beats Music and Beats Electronics to its family by posting a new “welcoming” microsite and redirecting all purchases initiated on the Beats by Dr. Dre website to the Apple online store. Now, Beats itself has released a new ad celebrating its official entry into the Apple family.
As reported by 9to5Mac, the new ad has arrived through a video attached to a newly posted tweet on the official Twitter account of Beats by Dr. Dre.
Today is the day. Invitation Only. #BeatsPills x Siri #applebeats

The video, shown above, has a rather jocular tone as it features Apple's Siri pointing out to Beats Pill mascots Mikey and Tina that Beats cofounder Dr. Dre's celebratory party is invitation only. When one of the capsule-shaped speakers insists on going anyway and presses Siri for directions to the party, the personal assistant's disembodied voice replies, “Sorry, I didn't get that” — the ad effectively poking fun at Siri's usual response when it's not working as expected.
Apple's $3 billion acquisition of Beats has indeed been completed. Its completion comes just over a couple of months following its official announcement by Apple, which came several weeks after Dr. Dre leaked the deal in a not so family-friendly video celebrating his being “the first billionaire hip-hop.”
