Elevate brain training app updated with universal support, new games and more
Elevate, the acclaimed brain training app that rivals Lumosity, has just gone universal through its latest update, which also delivers some notable enhancements.
Elevate was launched three months ago as an app that’s optimized for iPhone and iPod touch only. But with its just-released universal update, it has been made natively compatible with iPad and iPad mini. This means that you can now enjoy Elevate’s cognitive skill training offerings on Apple tablets as well as Apple handsets.
As noted in our original review, Elevate is “a mind-exercising app that, through a series of games and tests, aims to improve your overall cognitive ability.” Thanks to its latest update, the app has also gained new Listening and Speaking games. What’s more, it now features a Math skill group and five new Math games.

The update also introduces the new Elevate Proficiency Quotients system, which offers a better way to track performance across the five major skill groups. This new system is applied for both existing and new users, with the appropriate carryover and conversion processes automatically done for the former user group.
Furthermore, the update brings an improved performance and post-game report.
Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 7.0 or later, Elevate is available on the App Store for free, with in-app purchases offered for unlimited-access subscriptions.
The new version of Elevate also includes additional learning material for free and premium customers.
