Meep, meep! Zynga teases new Looney Tunes Dash level-based runner game for iOS

September 17, 2014

What’s up, Doc? Well, something quite big is up over at Zynga, which has just announced that it’s working on a new iOS runner game based on Warner Bros.’ “Looney Tunes” franchise.

Called Looney Tunes Dash, the new game, of course, features Bugs Bunny, Elmer Fudd, Tweety, Sylvester, Road Runner, Wile E. Coyote, and other beloved “Looney Tunes” characters.

But more than that, Zynga promises to deliver a different runner gaming experience with Looney Tunes Dash, as the game is being designed with a rewarding level-based progression rather than the typical endless running gameplay.

“By completing levels, players progress to unlock new characters and enjoy zones set within iconic landscapes,” Zynga explains in a new blog post. “Along the way, players can master each character’s special ability and challenge their skills as the frenetic world of Looney Tunes explodes at every twist, turn and swipe.”

Looney Tunes Dash is being developed by Zynga in collaboration with Twisted Metal developer Eat Sleep Play, which has worked with the social gaming company on the endless running game Stampede Run.

Looney Tunes Dash is set to be soft-launched on the App Store in select markets this week, with an official worldwide launch expected to take place in the coming months.

As Zynga says, “For now, that’s all folks!”
