Apple delivers the goods with its free App of the Week, RGB Express

October 24, 2014

A couple of days ago, RGB Express went free. As it turned out, it did so in preparation for its being selected by Apple as the free App of the Week on the App Store.

Released just a month ago by Zapresso developer Bad Crane, RGB Express is a colorful logic puzzle game that challenges you to strategically plan the routes of a fleet of delivery trucks. As noted by the App Store’s editors:

Each week, we select a great app and bring it to you, for free, as our App of the Week. (In-App Purchases sold separately.) Incredibly strategic and thoroughly charming, RGB Express turns package delivery into a puzzle game we can’t stop playing. As the route planner for a fleet of trucks, you’ll carefully chart their paths through colorful neighborhoods—then set them loose, hoping every home gets its bundle. The game’s gentle learning curve and hint system keep it fun for casual players, but even master tacticians will appreciate the complex challenges presented in later levels.

RGB Express normally goes for $2.99. But as Apple’s App of the Week, it’s downloadable at no cost from the App Store through Wednesday next week at least. So get it now for free while you still can.

We here at AppAdvice have been fans of RGB Express even since its prerelease days.

Upon its release, our very own Christine Chan praised the game as “an entertaining little puzzle game that will keep you coming back for hours.” “If you liked titles such as Trainyard or Perfect Paths,” she noted in her original review, “then you will get joy out of RGB Express as well.”
