Microsoft updates OneDrive for iOS with support for passcode, Touch ID, iPhone 6 and more
Microsoft has just updated the official iOS app of its OneDrive cloud storage service with a handful of notable new features.
First up, the new version of OneDrive for iOS introduces support for passcode protection. Just go to the app’s settings section to enable passcode protection, which also works with Touch ID in iOS 8, and prevent other users from accessing or making changes to your OneDrive files.
The latest update to OneDrive also optimizes the app for the larger displays of Apple’s new iPhones. “We adjusted our app to make use of the extra screen real estate on the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus,” Microsoft notes. “Now you can see more files and folders on screen, and have more space for making edits to your Office documents.”

The update also adds the ability to sort files and folders by name, date, and size. It also delivers some bug fixes and stability improvements.
OneDrive normally comes with 15GB of free storage. But thanks to Microsoft’s limited-time promo, you can get another 15GB for a total of 30GB of free storage just by activating the app’s automatic camera roll backup feature.
