Vine update brings optimization for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus along with a share extension
The official app of the Vine video sharing social network has just taken the leap up to version 3.0.0 with a recent update.
And the app now takes advantage of the latest and greatest Apple hardware and software. First up, it is optimized for the larger screens of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. That means text, and more importantly videos, will look much sharper on the Retina HD screens of both handsets.
Vine users on iOS 8 can also use the new share extension that makes it easy to share videos from the Camera Roll or other apps.
Finally, the app makes it easier to follow specific channels. Tap the new “+” at the top of any channel to receive select featured posts from that source in your feed.
Designed for the iPhone/iPod touch, Vine can be downloaded now on the App Store for free.
Before today’s update, the last major version of the app arrived back in August. Along with the ability to import existing videos from your iPhone, version 2.5.1 brought a host of new capture tools.
