Apple touts Continuity calling and A8-powered gaming in new TV ads for iPhone 6
Apple is back with another pair of TV ads for the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus featuring the voice-over duo of Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake.
One of the ads, titled “Reservations,” has Timberlake using his Mac and iPad, which are linked to his iPhone via Apple’s iCloud-enabled Continuity feature, to call Fallon’s iPhone, whereupon Fallon assumes a French restaurateur’s accent and says that Timberlake can’t make reservations.

In the other ad, titled “Gamers,” the two engage in trash talk as they play the iPhone version of Vainglory. Demoed on the same stage where the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus were unveiled in September, Vainglory is a multiplayer online battle arena game that takes advantage of the A8 processor on the iPhones to deliver advanced graphics and gameplay.

Previously, Fallon and Timberlake introduced the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus in “Duo” and Apple’s health-focused app in “Health.” They also made the case that the new iPhones are “bigger than bigger” in “Huge” and that the devices’ photo and video capabilities are better than ever in “Cameras.”
In the U.K., slightly different versions of the “Duo” and “Health” ads were debuted by Apple last month featuring the voices of “The IT Crowd” co-stars Richard Ayoade and Chris O’Dowd.
