Vainglory, showcased at the iPhone 6 event in September, finally lands on the App Store
While Apple’s September event focused mainly on hardware – specifically the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, and Apple Watch – there was time for one quick software demonstration. And that title, Vainglory, has finally arrived on the App Store.
A classic multiplayer online battle arena title from developer Super Evil Megacorp, Vainglory offers players some spectacular eye candy. Along with being fully optimized for iOS 8, it supports Apple’s new Metal graphics technology.
You’ll be fighting in 3-vs-3 multiplayer battles and will be able to explore the beautifully created worlds along the way.
Here’s more about the game in an official trailer. Click here if you can’t see it.
As we reported earlier this month, there is a seprate version of Vainglory available for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini. Both can be downloaded now on the App Store for free. You’ll need iOS 8.0 or later to play the game.
As usual for this type of game, there are a number of in-app purchases available. Thankfully, game progress can also be synced between the two different titles.
