Hasbro and DeNA are teaming up once again to produce a game featuring the Transformers. The new title, Transformers: Battle Tactics, is slated to arrive sometime next year and will be universal for the iPad/iPad mini and iPhone/iPod touch.
Here’s a short teaser trailer. Click here if you can’t see it.
The new game is a turn-based tactical combat title set in the Transformers universe. Gamers will be able to collect more than 75 iconic characters of both Autobots and Decipticons, including Optimus Prime, Megatron, Bumblebee, and more.
All of the characters will have unique stats and abilities, and players will be tasked with propelling their chosen team to victory.
Along with a single-player mode, the game will offer real-time, player versus player events. The graphic style of the game is inspired by the Transformers: Generations Combiner Wars characters and comic book series.
You can also learn more about the game at its official site here. Fans who preregister to receive updates will also be able to unlock content in the game when it launches.
Back in June, the toy maker and developer released their first Transformers title on the App Store – Transformers: Age of Extinction – The Official Game. That title is available to download for free.
