Pushbullet, the popular productivity and utility app for sending links, files, and notifications to supported devices, is now available on iPad and Mac as well as iPhone.

The original Pushbullet app for iPhone has just been updated not only for the bigger screens of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, but also for the even bigger screens of iPad, iPad Air, and iPad mini.

The new universal version of Pushbullet also comes with a new share extension. If enabled, the extension lets you easily push photos, links, and more from other apps to your other devices.

As mentioned, Pushbullet has also come to Mac. The new Pushbullet app for Mac provides all of the core features of its iOS counterpart in an interface that’s native to OS X.

Pushbullet for Mac

Of course, Pushbullet for Mac lets you push files to your other devices. But in addition to the usual method of tapping the plus icon in the app to initiate a push, Pushbullet for Mac lets you push files by dragging and dropping them onto the app or its dock icon.

What’s more, Pushbullet for Mac features iOS notification mirroring. Using Bluetooth LE, the app lets you see, act on, and dismiss your iOS notifications right on your Mac. This capability is especially useful at times when you’re working on your Mac and constantly grabbing your iPhone is a bit of hassle.

Along with its new Mac app, Pushbullet now has a new Safari extension, allowing you to share directly from Apple’s desktop Web browser.

Pushbullet now also features seamless copy and paste between devices, support for logging in to Facebook instead of Google, and UI tweaks for viewing pushes.

Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 7.1 or later, the new universal version of Pushbullet is available now on the App Store for free.

Compatible with OS X 10.9 or later, the new Pushbullet app for Mac is available now on the Mac App Store for free.

Pushbullet now resides on my iPad and Mac as well as on my iPhone. The convenience, continuity, and connectivity it affords have proved indispensable to my iOS and OS X usage.

If you’re looking for a universal and cross-platform solution to sharing notifications, links, files, and whatnot between your devices, Pushbullet is a sure-fire hit.
