The Apple Watch launching later this year isn’t the first wearable device Cupertino has produced. In 1995, the company introduced a custom-made wrist watch that featured an anodized aluminum bezel and scratch-resistant glass. This first Apple Watch was offered as an incentive for users to upgrade to Mac OS System 7.5, according to iDownloadBlog.

As you can see below, the 1995 Apple Watch included a blue metallic finish, a wavy second hand, and the old rainbow-colored Apple logo. It should be noted that the Watch arrived two years before Steve Jobs returned to Apple.

The upcoming Apple Watch is likely to arrive in stores in March. It will launch at a starting price of $349, and be available in 18 styles, across three collections.
