The unique AMPL Backpack can charge your iPhone and iPad on the go
An interesting new device is promising to juice up your devices while they are stored in a backpack. The AMP, which is currently seeking funding on Indiegogo, features an advanced portable charging system located in the bag’s fabric.
And with the companion app, users can even monitor and control charging without even needing to open the bag.
Here’s the campaign video. Click here if you can’t see it.
Users can charge up to six different USB devices at one time in the backpack. As for the bag itself, your items are protected thanks to a water-resistant coating and shock absorbers in the bag.
Right now, for an early-bird pledge of $225, you can reserve an AMPL Backpack. Delivery is estimated for September. If you move up to the $399 pledge level, you’ll receive the backpack and also a special battery than can recharge your laptop with a built-in inverter.
And so far, the backpack looks to be a hit. In less than two days, more than $84,000 has been pledged on a goal of $125,000.
The AMPL Backpack really sounds like a great product. For any on-the-go traveler, I can see how it could be a lifesaver. We’ve covered many high-quality backpacks that cost more than $225 with no charging capability, so this is a steal. Even though I’m not a big traveler, I’m seriously thinking about pledging.
