Yes, there’s even a Game of War rap video
Need even more proof that freemium games are here to stay? How about this new Game of War rap video.
That’s right, YouTube’s Screen Team has recently posted this funny ode to the strategy MMO game. Click here if you can’t see the video.
As you probably remember, Game of War recently launched a huge TV advertising push starring “Sports Illustrated” swimsuit model Kate Upton.
The campaign was topped off with a first-quarter ad during Super Bowl XLIX earlier this month featuring Upton.
According to a recent report from appFigures, Game of War received a big increase in downloads thanks to the ads. Games Clash of Clans and Heroes Charge also aired spots during the big game.
And after the ad blitz, Game of War climbed to the No. 1 spot on the overall top grossing charts for iPhone only to be topped recently by Clash of Clans.
If you want to try Game of War out, it is a universal app designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini. It can be downloaded for free. Obviously, there are many in-app purchases available.
While I’ve never tried the game, it must be addictive. Interestingly, the top in-app purchase is currently for 28,000 gold. The price? Just $99.99.
Anyone want to do a Monument Valley rap?
