Adonit releases a new edition of its amazing Jot Script note-taking stylus
We loved Adonit’s Jot Script Evernote Edition when it first came out, and now the company has unveiled the successor to its popular note-taking stylus. While styluses are typically designed more for artistic purposes like drawing and painting, Adonit has recognized that many people prefer to write notes by hand instead of typing them. The Jot Script 2 has been updated to enhance accuracy, note-taking speed, and the quality of the experience of using the stylus. The accessory was redesigned with a narrower barrel to feel more like a real pen in your hand. The Jot Script 2 features the same 1.9mm tip with Pixelpoint technology as its predecessor, so it should truly feel like you are writing with a pen. With Jot Script 2’s enhanced palm rejection, you can rest your hand on the screen while writing in supported apps like Penultimate, Goodnotes 4, and Noteshelf.
One drawback we saw with the original Jot Script was its use of AAA batteries. Adonit has listened to its customers on this issue, and the Jot Script 2 ships with a rechargeable lithium battery that lasts for more than 20 hours. An included USB charger will fill up that battery in less than 50 minutes.
The new edition of the Jot Script has been designed to perform best with Evernote’s award-winning Penultimate app, which has recently been updated with support for the new accessory and its enhanced palm rejection features. The updated version of Penultimate also includes faster and more accurate Jot Script performance, improved syncing and large note-taking experience, and the ability to split large notes automatically.
