RadPad gets a smart update adding support for rent sharing

The World Around You
March 4, 2015

RadPad, the interesting iOS app that lets users pay for their rent using Apple Pay, has received an update making it easy for users to split rent between roommates.

The update is live on the App Store, and apart from rent sharing little else has arrived in the 3.2 release. Over in RadPad’s release notes, developer RadPad, Inc. shares more information on how paying rent with a roommate works:

  • After you set up your rent on RadPad, invite your roommate to pay with you by clicking on “Invite my roommates & pay rent together!”
  • We’ll send your roommate a text message with a link that helps them quickly enter their debit or credit card info for their share of the rent
  • Once you’re paying together, you’ll have access to view each others rent & your landlord will get one rent payment on behalf of you and your roommates

You can pay rent with up to four roommates, and doing so is free of charge if iOS device owners use a debit card. For credit card rent payments, on the other hand, a 2.99 percent fee is applied to monthly transactions.

RadPad first launched in 2013, and the application added support for Apple Pay back in December. Besides Cupertino’s own payment solution, the app also accepts Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.

Interested in taking the recently updated RadPad for a spin? The app is available free of charge on the App Store, and it’s optimized for the iPhone and iPod touch only.
