Many car mounts for the iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus are big and bulky. But the new MagBak system for Apple’s latest handsets takes a different approach.
Currently seeking funding on Kickstarter, the MagBak is composed of two different parts. First, the MagBak case contains industrial strength magnets that allow it to mount natively on any metal surface like a refrigerator or whiteboard.
Using the small aluminum piece called the MagStick, you can mount the handset to almost anywhere. The piece can also be removed without damaging the surface.
Here’s a quick video about the project. Click here if you can’t see it.
Right now, for a pledge of $39, you can reserve a basic bundle with a MagBak case for the iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus and MagStick for mounting. For $10 more, you can snag the pro bundle with a case and four MagSticks.
I’ve really enjoyed using the MagBak for my iPad Air, and the new iPhone 6/iPhone 6 Plus version looks great as well. Definitely count me in as a backer. I’m looking forward to using the MagSticks to make a quick and easy mount in all my vehicles.
