WaterField Design's Time Travel Apple Watch Case offers more than meets the eye
The Apple Watch launch has resulted in an influx of accessories for the wearable device. A full range of stands, cases, and screen protectors have already arrived for Apple’s newest product, with more expected to ship in the coming months. WaterField Designs recently unveiled the Time Travel Apple Watch Case. Available in ballistic nylon or leather, the case is the latest in a series of accessories that the San Francisco, California-based company has made for Apple products.
At first glance, I wasn’t all that impressed with the leather Time Travel case, which I received for review purposes. My hesitation had nothing to do with the product’s design. Rather, I questioned whether something like this was even necessary. When I actually began using the case, my opinion quickly changed.
Like WaterField products before it, the Time Travel is beautifully crafted and multifunctional. Inside, it features two small pockets to cradle your charger and another small accessory, plus a larger pocket to store extra watch bands or the Apple Watch itself. The main compartment can store Bluetooth earbuds or your smartphone. WaterField suggests using the lone front pocket to “rest your Apple Watch” while it charges overnight.
In other words, the Time Travel is much more than an Apple Watch case, despite what its name may suggest. As an added bonus, the case is large enough for me to carry my iPhone 6 Plus, even when it’s inside a Mophie battery case, which is awesome in my book.
If you’re looking for an all-in-one case for your Apple Watch and iPhone, consider the Time Travel by WaterField.
The Time Travel Apple Watch Case is available in black, camel, gray, red, forest green, and “Cowboy” brown leather for $59. A black ballistic nylon model is available for $49.
