Bean Dreams, the fun, cute app (and sequel to Bean’s Quest) which launched on iOS back in December, has received an update from developer Kumobius adding a bunch of new content to the application.

As of its most recent update, Bean Dreams, which is available for $2.99 and is optimized for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch, offers iOS device owners a number of brand new islands. These islands can be accessed free of charge in Bean Dreams each one really expands on what the application has to offer. This isn’t all developer Kumobius has added in the 3.0 release, however. Over in the app’s release notes, the developer explains:

Plus, a fan favourite feature from Bean’s Quest makes its debut in the new Marble Mountains stages: Trampolines! These spring-like floors bounce you back to the height you landed on them from. Which opens up a lot of puzzle design possibilities!

This all sounds great to us. After all, we really enjoyed playing Bean Dreams when it first landed on the App Store. In a review published soon after the app’s release, our own Christine Chan concluded: “As a big fan of platformers, I am loving Bean Dreams so far. The game looks stunning since it mixes vintage visuals with a dash of modern menus and screens, the music is delightful, and the controls are easy to learn. Like any good platformer, there’s plenty of challenge to be found here, which is always a good thing.”

Of course, as of its most recent update, Bean Dreams is better than ever. Here’s a trailer showing off exactly what you can expect from the game’s 3.0 update:
