Instapaper update introduces a new Notes feature
Popular read-it-later service Instapaper has just made the move to version 6.4 with a recent update.
The big addition in the update is a new Notes feature. That allows you to add your own comments to highlights or article text. Those notes can be easily shared to other services including Facebook and Twitter. The notes sync across all devices or on the Web at Instapaper’s site.
Here’s a video from Instapaper that shows more about how the feature works. Click here if you can’t see it.
Also new in the update, the maximum size of TweetShot images has been increased, and you’ll also be able to save TweetShot images directly to your Camera Roll.
Instapaper is a universal app designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini. It can be downloaded now on the App Store for free. With an optional in-app purchase of $2.99 per month or $29.99 per year, users can unlock a premium subscription. Some of the premium features includes full text search of articles, unlimited highlights, and send to Kindle functionality.
And Apple Watch users can also take advantage of the app on the wearable device. Using the watch, you can trigger text-to-speech for articles on your iPhone.
When finished, using Force Touch, you can like, archive, organize, or delete the article directly from your wrist. Courtesy of our sister site WatchAware, here’s an interactive preview.
