Amazon promises Black Friday-like deals next week on Prime Day
A $99 yearly subscription to Amazon’s Prime service definitely pays for itself.
While the headline perk is free, two-day shipping on items from the retailing giant, our own Sandy Stachowiak recently took a great look at some of the other iOS-centric features like Prime Music, Instant Video, and much more.
And to celebrate its 20th anniversary, the company has just announced that Prime Day will kick off starting in the early morning hours on Wednesday, July 15. New and existing Prime subscribers will be able to take advantage of a number of deals all throughout the day in a number of categories.
Amazon is even promising more deals than Black Friday.
If you’re not a Prime member, you can easily sign-up now for a 30-day free trial here.
And to help showcase it’s Prime Photos service, Amazon is also offering a contest to win a $10,000 gift card in each Prime-eligible country. Here’s more from Amazon about how members can capture a winning image:
Members simply sign into Prime Photos between July 6 and July 15 to submit a photo on the contest page amazon.com/primeliving. Photos will be selected and featured daily on Amazon’s social channels leading up to Prime Day. One winner will be selected in each country based on the image that most creatively captures a happy moment of #PrimeLiving. Winners will also be invited to have their photos become screen savers on Amazon Fire TV.
We’ll definitely let you know if there are any iOS-specific deals on Prime Day. As for me, I’ve definitely been enjoying the Amazon Prime Now service and companion app that enables some Amazon items to be delivered to my door within a one- or two-hour time frame.
