Apple Watch is coming to UK's Currys and PC World
In Britain, consumers will soon have another means of purchasing Cupertino’s popular Apple Watch. Because according to a recent report, the wearable will soon be sold by retailer Currys and PC World.
The news hit the Web in a post from MacRumors, which shared a shot of Currys and PC World’s internal inventory system (below). Here, the Apple Watch is listed as a product in the retailer’s records, although the smart watch isn’t yet available on store shelves.
It’s likely Currys and PC World stores will offer an Apple Watch stand in retail locations, once they’re ready to sell the device. Here, models will be advertised, though we’re not expecting the retailer to offer Cupertino’s high-end Apple Watch Edition (which, in Britain, carries a starting price of £8,000).
U.S. retailer Best Buy started selling the Apple Watch earlier this month, and a number of further retailers, both in the United States and overseas, have added Cupertino’s device to their in-store stock. Apple offered its Watch from select third-party retailers from the very beginning, of course; mini-stores, available from April 10, offered the Apple Watch in London’s Selfridges (as well as in Paris’s Galeries Lafayette and Tokyo’s Isetan).
The move to Currys and PC World is only going to help Apple Watch sales, especially as the Christmas shopping season approaches. We’ll keep you updated with further information as we receive it.
