Banish EU cookie banners with Mr. Crumble's content blocker

Mr. Crumble is a smart, new content blocker that our Europe-based readers will love.

This is because Mr. Crumble, which can be downloaded free of charge and is optimized for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch, can hide cookie banners and notices. While browsing the Web, readers in Europe will likely often come across cookie notification banners which appear in compliance with EU standards. To hide these banners, you usually need to touch an icon labeled “I accept,” or something similar. Well, this kind of nuisance can be a thing of the past, provided you have Mr. Crumble installed.

Once running and enabled on your iPhone or iPad, then, Mr. Crumble will hide these cookie notifications. Over in the app’s release notes, developer Cocoon Development explains:

Now, whenever you visit a website in Safari I’ll block and hide those notices so they don’t interrupt you. Best of all, I’ll even keep my database up to date in the background so you can just forget about me and browse in peace.

As such, a far more enjoyable Web browsing experience will be on offer once Mr. Crumble is running on your iOS device.

To enable the app, you’ll need to visit the iOS Settings application, find the Safari tab, and enable Mr. Crumble from inside the Content Blockers window. Here, your other installed content blockers will also be available to view, enable, and disable.

Perhaps most appealing is Mr. Crumble’s price tag. As mentioned, it can be downloaded free of charge on the App Store, and it’s optimized for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
