Disney launches a 'Star Wars' Infinity 3.0 pack for the new Apple TV
Disney indeed brought the “Star Wars”-themed Infinity 3.0 Battle of Yavin to the fourth-generation Apple TV not long ago. Now, however, the company behind the much anticipated “Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens” movie has launched a Disney Infinity 3.0 Starter Pack for the all-new set-top box.
So, if you have a brand new Apple TV, Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition can be purchased now at Apple Stores across the United States. It ships, as you’d expect, with a Bluetooth Disney Infinity Base, along with a SteelSeries Nimbus Wireless Controller that can communicate with the Apple TV itself (and which, we might add, could be used alongside other controller-enabled tvOS games).
The game offers the full Disney Infinity 3.0 experience, including all 3.0 Play Sets, figures and Toy Box Expansion Games. In addition, all figures and Power Discs from the 1.0 and 2.0 editions of Disney Infinity are also compatible with the Apple TV version of the game.
You can grab the Starter Pack now for $99.95, and it ships with a “Star Wars: Twilight of the Republic” Play Set piece, Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano figures, the aforementioned Disney Infinity base, and a Web code card for mobile and PC devices (alongside the SteelSeries controller).
Concerning the handy inclusion of SteelSeries’ Nimbus controller in the pack, Craig Olson, President of SteelSeries Mobile, said: “We’ve engineered the Nimbus Wireless Controller especially for Apple TV gameplay experiences, and it was only fitting to include it in the Disney Infinity 3.0 Starter Pack for players to enjoy the game the way it was intended to be played.”
Apple Stores should be stocking the Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition Starter Pack for the Apple TV now, and it’s also available from the Apple Online Store. As mentioned, the price for the pack is $99.95.
