Winter is coming as Cartoon Survivor goes to the Ice Age in latest update
Cartoon Survivor, the fun game from the folks at Australia-based studio Spunge Games, has received a great update just in time for the cold winter season. In the game, iOS users can take a trip back to the Ice Age and can run through a winter wonderland featuring icicles, penguins, snowflakes, and more.
You can grab the updated Cartoon Survivor now on the App Store, and as before the app is optimized for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad. The content update brings a total of six new levels set across the Ice Age, and included in these are six new enemies and eight new costumes.
However, that’s not all. Because a fun skiing mode has been added in the release, too, allowing Cartoon Survivor gamers to take to the slopes in order to outrun and outwit the app’s foes. For a closer look at the update, check out the below trailer for Cartoon Survivor — Ice Age:

Cartoon Survivor got the thumbs-up from AppAdvice in our original post regarding the app. At the time, we celebrated the game’s fun control system, explaining:
Cartoon Survivor features finely-tuned tilt mechanics, allowing the player to intuitively run, jump, and glide through the levels. In the game world, Cartoon Survivor is the producer’s last chance for a TV mega hit, with ratings at rock bottom. The main character, a dodo bird named Doo Doo, is the only applicant to star in the show, and must maneuver through death defying obstacle courses littered with feisty creatures and deadly prehistoric environments before the dynamite strapped to his back explodes.
Best of all, Cartoon Survivor can be downloaded free of charge (though it does feature in-app purchases, as you’d expect). As mentioned, the title is optimized for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad.
