Step into Christmas with PolyBlast's festive update

PolyBlast, the popular missile defense game for iOS, has gone all Christmassy in its recent 1.3 update.

The revamped application can be downloaded on the App Store now, and as before it’s a free app optimized for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad. Among the changes made are new content (including levels) and a brand new interface. Let’s take a closer look.

First up, there’s more content in PolyBlast, initially in the form of 15 brand new Christmas levels. These feature holiday designs, music, and “awesome new puzzles,” according to the folks behind the application. But wait, there’s more.

“What’s Christmas without gifts?” Game Cooks adds in the app’s release notes, and as such PolyBlast’s Christmas update adds a gift box full of power-ups for iOS device owners to enjoy. Ho, ho, ho!

Bugs have been squashed in the release (including fixes for the VS mode), and finally, a brand new interface has been added — this, as you’re perhaps expecting, should also get gamers embracing the holiday spirit.

Back when PolyBlast first launched, we celebrated the game’s fun, addictive nature, and noted that the app also features a nice multiplayer mode (for an additional fee, mind you). It’s altogether a fantastic game for iOS device owners to enjoy, and of course, its Christmas update makes the mobile app even better.
