If you love magazines, then Magzter should definitely be up your alley. The digital magazine service features more than 7,500 different titles from all around the world. And the official app has just been updated to version 6.0 with a number of changes.
A reading rainbow
The app has been completely redesigned with a new focus. Instead of full magazines, the app is now built around single articles that you’d like to read. To start, the app will ask users exactly what they want to read about. You can select from a number of different interests to view individual articles or the complete magazine title. It will also show trending keywords that are updated daily so users can get a head start into reading.
As a nice touch, each article is specifically optimized for the device you’re using. You can now also save single articles for reading offline. The app will even automatically save the article you’re currently reading if your lose your connection.
Also, the app is sporting a revamped layout with three sections – Articles, Magazines, and My Collections.
The Magzter app is designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and all iPad models. It can be downloaded now on the App Store for free. Right now, new users can try a 30-day gold subscription for free. After that, it can be unlocked with an in-app purchase of $9.99 per month to access every magazine on the service.
An alternative to that, Gold Lite, gives readers access to as many issues as they would like from any five selected magazines for $4.99 per month. You can also purchase individual magazine issues.
