The PopSlate 2 adds a second e-ink screen to your iPhone 6s/6 or 6s/6s Plus
The PopSlate is back with a powerful twist. First introduced back in 2015 just for the iPhone 6, the case provided an always-on second screen on the rear of the handset. The low-power e-ink screen could be customized with pretty much anything imaginable and could last for seven days without needing to be recharged.
A second screen experience
Using the companion app, the rear screen can be customized with different types of information and news.
And the company has just unveiled the next-generation PopSlate 2 via a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo. Adding only 0.16 inch of thickness to your iPhone, there is a version for both the iPhone 6s/6 or 6s/6s Plus.
Along with the e-ink display, the new case sports a built-in backup battery that can provide up to 9 hours of additional talk time.

You can customize the 200dpi e-ink display with the companion app. Some of the content you can display includes a clock, images, books, list, feeds, and more.

Right now, for a pledge of $69, you can reserve a PopSlate 2 for either an iPhone 6s/6 or 6s/6s Plus. You’ll be able to select from a black or white version. You can currently reserve two cases for an early bird pledge of $135.
All rewards are estimated to ship in July.
If you’re looking for an additional way to view information from your phone, and aren’t interested in something like the Apple Watch, the PopSlate 2 definitely looks like interesting and well-made product. Adding a backup battery to the mix is a great idea and makes it even more useful for any iPhone owner.
