UK retailer Currys & PC World offering huge discounts on Apple Watch models
Now’s the perfect time to buy an Apple Watch. Because while the rumor mill still can’t decide whether we’re due to receive an updated model in April or not, retailers are offering significant discounts on the first-generation model. Case in point: Currys & PC World, the British electronics retailer, is offering a huge £120 off certain Apple Watch models.
Depending on the model you choose, a £120 saving could be yours when you purchase an Apple Watch from Currys & PC World. There’s a £50 saving on Apple Watch Sport models, a £100 saving on the stainless steel models with a Sport Band, and a £120 saving on stainless steel model with one of Apple’s nice bands (like the Milanese Loop, for instance). Already, certain models in the retailer’s stock have sold out: the Rose Gold Apple Watch with the Stone Sports Band is gone, as has the Apple Watch Sport with the Blue Sports Band. And do you know what? This doesn’t surprise me. The price lowest price advertised, £250, isn’t bad at all. Though new customers could indeed feel disappointed if a new model is released in a couple of months.
Mind you, the latest word is that this won’t happen. The so-called “Apple Watch 2″ may not launch until later in the year, according to a handful of reports.
Instead, we should expect new band colors and software improvements before a full Apple Watch upgrade is released in September. As always, we’ll keep you posted with further information as we receive it.
