Why we picked this?

Calendarium helps you live in the present and the past. The top portion of the screen displays today’s date, the week of the year, sunrise and sunset times, and the number of days that have passed and are left in the year. The bottom portion includes all of the historical events and major holidays that occurred on this very day. Tap and hold on an event or holiday to share it via Twitter, Facebook, Messages, or email.

You’re a history buff. Each and everyday day there’s something new to learn about the history of the world.

You can’t filter the content, so if the idea of learning about every not-so-positive thing that has happened throughout human history bothers you, then skip this one.

Anyone can create amazing works of art with Draw in 3D.

Those who have always wanted to try 3-D modeling.

Why we picked this?

Even if you lack artistic talent, you’ll be creating awesome 3-D art in no time thanks to the app’s intuitive controls. Draw in 3D starts off with a brief tutorial in order to make sure you understand how to set depth anchors and view different planes. Then put your finger to the screen and start creating. The app allows you to freely rotate and move the camera using two and three finger gestures. Once you have something you’re proud of, you’re able to share a static image or a link to your creation in full 3-D. The app even supports 3-D printing in case you have access to that sort of thing.

You like experimenting with different art mediums. It’s a total blast to play around with.

You’re not the patient type since you may have trouble getting the results you want. No matter how intuitive the app is, it’s still a bit challenging to draw in a 3-D environment.

Why we picked this?

Week Widget isn’t a standard calendar app in any way, shape, or form. It taps into your iDevice’s native calendar app in order to populate a Today view widget with everything that’s coming up on your schedule. When you launch the app itself, you’re greeted with ways to customize the look and content of the widget. Week Widget includes a day timeline, a week timeline, and the ability to scroll through days and weeks.

You’re always in a hurry. It easily handles complicated events that overlap, and assigns colors to allow for quick discovery.

You value your lock screen space.
