New information in the latest tvOS 11 beta, released earlier today, references the rumored 4K Apple TV codename – “J105a.” It also features some HDR-enabled assets. That was first publicized by developer Guilherme Rambo on Twitter.

The codename was first referenced all the way back in February when the first report of a 4K Apple TV arrived.
Along with a 4K-enabled streaming device, Apple has also apparently been preparing 4K content for iTunes.
The current iPad Pro models are capable of showing HDR content, but not at the 4K resolution.
Apple is expected to also unveil the next-generation iPhone and LTE-enabled Apple Watch at an event in September.
