Academic Writing App Essayist Adds Additional Citation Style and More
Originally landing in January, the academic writing app Essayist is a perfect choice for anyone needing to write a paper.
A big help is that Essayist will automatically format everything for you while writing. When creating a new east, it will set up the title section/page, margins, font, line spacing, alignment, page headers/footers, and more.
References, in-text citations, figures, tables, and more will also be formatted.
Previously, the app supported the popular APA and MLA citation styles. But with an updated to version 1.2, the app is getting even better with support for the Chicago/Turbian citation style.
Another new addition is an Insert Citation feature that allows you to easily add citations while writing.
Finally, you can now copy/paste text that includes citations. That information will be preserved.
Essayist is designed for the iPhone and all iPad models. It can be downloaded now on the App Store for free. There is also a Mac version available.
A subscription is needed to use the app. There are two different payment options – $4.99 per month or $29.99 yearly.
Both of those options include a free trial.
