Apple Announces 'California Streaming' Event Next Tuesday, Sept. 14
It’s time to circle your calendar. Apple has just sent out an invitation for an event next Tuesday, Sept. 14 at 10 a.m. PT.
Because of the pandemic, the “California Streaming” event will once again be completely virtual.
We’re expecting Apple to announce the iPhone 13 lineup. The new handsets will look very similar to the iPhone 12 and in the same sizes as well. That will mean a 5.4-inch iPhone 13 mini and a 6.1-inch iPhone 13. The Pro line will be a 6.1-inch iPhone 13 Pro and a 6.7-inch iPhone 13 Pro Max.
Other rumored improvements include a smaller front-screen notch and better camera technology. Both Pro models will apparently be receiving a 120Hz ProMotion display.
The Apple Watch Series 7 will reportedly receive a new design for the first time since the Series 4 model in 2018. The watch will feature a more flat-edge designed that mirrors the current iPhones. The case sizes will increase to 45mm and 41mm, up from the current 44mm and 40mm.
We’re also expecting to see our first look at the third-generation AirPods featuring a design closer to the current AirPods Pro line.
Apple should also provide the official release date of iOS 15, iPadOS 15, watchOS 8, and tvOS 15.
You can view the live event on Apple’s site here. It will also be available on the Apple TV app.
Make sure to keep it here on AppAdvice as we’ll be covering the event live next Tuesday with all of the news and more.
