Apple Announces New MacBook Air, macOS Ventura
Apple was busy with both new hardware and software announcements for the Mac at WWDC 2022.
On the hardware side, the new MacBook Air was announced.
Along with the new and faster M2 chip, the laptop offers a brand new design. Instead of the iconic wedge, the laptop is more squared off. It also sports a larger 13.6-inch screen with a notch.
You can take advantage of a 1080p FaceTime camera and MagSafe charging. There is two Thunderbolt 4 ports.
The new laptop is available in four colors—silver, space gray, midnight, and starlight, and will start at $1,199.
While the 13-inch MacBook Pro didn’t get a redesign, it was updated with the M2 chip as well.
Apple also unveiled macOS Ventura.
Some of the features in that upcoming software release for Macs include Stage Manager that organizes open apps and windows, Continuity Camera to use your iPhone as a Mac webcam, and improvements to Safari and Spotlight.
