Better Multitasking in Store With iPadOS 16

As rumored, a much better multitasking experience is arriving with Stage Manager.

The feature automatically organizes windows and apps to make it easy to switch between options. It will be available for any iPad with an M1 chip.

Stage Manager also allows full external display support with resolutions of up to 6K. So you can have four apps on the iPad and four on the external display.

A new Freeform app, arriving later this year, will allow users to collaborate in real-time.

Other additions include a Weather app, smart tools in Mail, and much more.

Developers can download the software today. A public beta will arrive in July. The official release is in the fall.
