Apple Drops Price on Thunderbolt 4K and 5K LG UltraFine Displays

Along with dropping the price on all of its USB-C adapters, Apple has also reduced the price of its upcoming 4K and 5K LG UltraFine displays by 25 percent.

The LG UltraFine 5K Display is now priced at $974, a $325 price cut from its original price of $1,299.95 and the LG UltraFine 4K Display is now priced at $524, a $175 price cut from its original price of $699.95.

Each of these displays was designed to work specifically with the new MacBook Pro. The displays connect to the laptops via Thunderbolt 3 and have the ability to charge the laptop and include features such as P3 wide color gamut support, stereo speakers, and a built-in camera and microphone.

The 4K display is available for purchase now and will ship to customers in the next “five to six weeks.” The 5K model launches in December.
